Our inspiration began with a profound admiration for a remarkable, jewel-like green velvet fabric. This passion led us to commission a custom bed from Opera Care, designed with a cut-jewel style headboard featuring intricate scalloped edge detailing. Our intention was to make this bed the focal point of the room, and as such, we added minimal propping in a similar colour tone while keeping the rest of the decor in more subdued (still colourful) hues, including shades of blue, mustard, and olive green.

To further enhance the room's ambiance, we sourced exquisite landscape prints of Scotland, selecting a colour palette that harmonised with the jewel-like green. This choice provided a seamless connection between the bed's opulent design and the overall decor.

An important detail to note is the framing of the prints. We took the time to meticulously align the horizons, even if they didn't originally match perfectly. This attention to detail, while subtle, significantly contributed to the overall polished appearance of the room.

We mixed scandi, mid-century, french, classic and contemporary pieces in this room, making a transitional space that the client wouldn't get bored of which could evolve over time.

The project features a range of renowned brands, including Pooky, William Yeoward, Soho Home, Mind the Gap, West Elm, Zara Home, Vinterior, and Vivaraise, each playing a role in creating the room's unique and sophisticated atmosphere.
