Nestled on the serene shores of Windermere, this charming boat house was in need of a heartfelt transformation. It was envisioned as a haven for leisurely weekends, offering the joy of venturing onto the water and enjoying drinks on the balcony.

The client's vision was to infuse the space with classic masculine decor while infusing it with a fresh and contemporary twist. Our shared goal was to ensure that the interior design resonated with the purpose of the property – a retreat by the lake.

To bring the essence of the lake indoors, we selected a palette of aquas, greens, and blues, invoking the tranquil waters. Boat-style tongue and groove wall panelling was installed, lending a nautical touch that harmonised with the surroundings. As a delightful find, old oars tucked away in storage were repurposed as unique wall decor, adding character and history to the space.

The decor was further enriched with layers of linens and natural fabrics, creating a comfortable and relaxed ambiance. A wonderfully shabby antique leather chair was introduced to enhance the sense of ease and make the boat house a welcoming and inviting getaway by the water's edge.
