The clients' vision was to create a warm, inviting family room that could also serve as an entertaining space for guests. Their brief called for something 'unusual, fun, sumptuous, and surprising,' which led us to choose luxurious velvet, dramatic Cole and Son wallpaper, and unique pieces such as the bobbin chairs. To set the tone, we opted for a rich, jewel-toned and moody colour palette.

The property's Victorian style had been stripped of its original features by the previous owners, leaving a dated 90's design in place of the fireplace. Recognizing that the fireplace would be the room's main feature, we decided to replace it. To do so, we commissioned a meticulously crafted classic Victorian bespoke stone hearth that not only suits the room's aesthetic but would remain a timeless focal point.
