OAK HOUSE

At Oak House in Chorley, personal inspiration and everyday comfort shape a characterful interior, bringing together Oriental influences, expressive pattern and carefully balanced colour.

A cherished photograph of a traditional Chinese archway provided the starting point for the bedroom, introducing a palette of red, white, blue and black. Soft grey wallpaper creates a calming backdrop, complemented by bespoke upholstery, window treatments and cushions incorporating an Oriental-inspired Thibaut fabric. Practical details were equally considered, with easy-care headboard fabric and generously sized cushions designed for comfortable reading and working in bed. The project also included the renovation of the adjoining en suite.

The living-room scheme extends this appreciation of colour and pattern through deep blue upholstery, warm blush tones, decorative textiles and brass accents. Together, the spaces reflect a personal approach to design, balancing visual interest with comfort and the way the clients live.
