Designing cool decor for loft-style apartments with the dual brief of femininity and midcentury style was an exciting challenge. To achieve this unique blend, I incorporated elements that beautifully balanced both aspects of the brief.

One of the standout features in one apartment is the cloud-like light fixture from Dowsing and Reynolds. This particular light made such an impression on me that I decided to incorporate it into my own property, where it now graces my office. The soft, ethereal quality of this light adds an element of femininity to the space while also creating a sense of modernity. In addition to the striking pendant light, I opted for matching Flos wall and table lights, creating a consistent and harmonious lighting theme throughout the apartments. This not only enhances the midcentury aesthetic but also adds a layer of sophistication and functionality to the decor.

To break up the starkness of the concrete walls that are characteristic of loft-style apartments, we introduced panelling and paintwork. This design choice not only softens the industrial elements but also brings an element of classic elegance to the space. The panelling and paintwork contribute to the overall balance between feminine and midcentury design, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere in these loft apartments.
