Rye Meadows

This is the clients Holiday home in Kirkby Lonsdale and it was a drab and brown; not a space to be excited to escape to.

 

Instead, they wanted a colourful whimsical space that felt like a mini boutique hotel. They sited their love for the Firmdale Hotels designed by Kit Kemp which are an explosion of colour, pattern and texture, so we selected a contrast of playful, bright fabric and pieces with nods to India and the East.

The scheme was mainly lead by the fabric selection and we created the most fabulous window treatments, recovered chairs and accessories from Thibaut and Christoper Farr fabrics. 

 

The project was featured Interior Designs Yearbook 2021, about creating a escapism holiday feel in your UK home; this is whilst we were all still partially trapped post covid!
