The Alpine
Room
MASTER BEDROOM
The client's vision for the Alpine Suite was centred on achieving clean lines and a masculine ambiance. The suite boasted a picturesque view of a contemporary garden with expansive forests in the distance, and the objective was to create a decor that not only respected the natural surroundings but also added a contemporary touch to the space.
To achieve this design concept, a nuanced approach to wood finishes was adopted. This involved incorporating a range of wood finishes, including veneer, burnt wood, and parquet flooring, each in varying tones. The purpose was twofold: to bring the warmth and organic feel of wood into the room, connecting it to the surrounding natural landscape, and to create a layered and textured visual aesthetic that aligns with the client's preference for clean lines.
The introduction of green furniture, particularly a striking and modern chair, served as a contemporary nod to the lush greenery outdoors. This touch of green not only added a fresh and vibrant element to the room but also reinforced the connection to the garden and distant forests, bringing the outside in.
The combination of varied wood finishes, careful attention to detail in selecting different tones, and the strategic use of green furniture allowed for the creation of a sophisticated yet masculine decor that harmonised with the Alpine Suite's natural setting while providing a contemporary twist that met the client's desires.
